I would call today and ask. Lots of rest will be closed
I'm sure they would if you called and asked.
Hey want a great breakfast then stop in and bring your appetite. Way too much food and all of it was delicious and i ate most if it.oink. Staff was friendly and amazing and took time with us to tell about the mural. I had a spinach and mushroom omelet, rye toast and the most delicious potatoes, all served up with a grand smile and southern graciousness. I'm a northern. Go for the food and stay for the warmth of family.
Over all it was pretty good, had the steak and it was very tender, just wasnt a fan of the chunky hashbrowns
1950s - 1960s cafe atmosphere. Excellent food and desserts. Especially pie. Excellent service, very clean, and a breakfast to supper menu. Whatever you try is just gonna be good.
Serves breakfast, lunch, and pies. Perfect portion size with wide selection of classic diner style food.
We had amazing service today. The dinning room is set up perfect for serving public in spacious dining room separated by plastic in some areas for seating. The food is still great. Had the special chicken and dumplings, Mac and cheese with green. Had to take home their strawberry pie with sweet ice tea to drink.
Clean restaurant and fast service! Good diner and not too far from the hwy. The food was quick to get to us. Pricing was fair and the food was good. Didn’t have time to try the pie but will make sure to get some on the next road trip.
Man, I miss this place and make it a point to come in when I'm back in town! Always great food for the soul, and a Shreveport Staple for dining!
Great food and great service! The owner immediately saw our need for a large table. He immediately put 2 tables together for us. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual. When our food was coming out, the waitress ensured we all got our orders and asked us how if we needed anything. Of course we would not leave without some Strawn's Strawberry Pie! Yum!
This place is a Shreveport classic. It would be a sin to say anything against Strawns. Get the pie. It's worth every single calorie.
The food was supposed to be totally made from scratch but my chicken fried steak and my son's chicken strips were not made from scratch. Both items probably came off a Schwann's or Ben E. Keith truck, not made from scratch at all. I do have to say the strawberry and coconut pies are the real deal!! Homemade and worth every penny!!
Great place for breakfast all day.
Fresh coffee and a superb BLT w/Grits! Great way to start off the morning!
I always like eating here after my eye appointments, good tasting cozy food, and no mask required.
Loved the omelette and gifts and Bisquits!! Service was awesome!
Service was excellent food was great only waited 5 minutes for my food gave my daughter colors and stickers
I LOVE THIS PLACE! I take my son here to eat regularly so we can sit at the counter and watch our food being prepared. Awesome long-time local favorite. We have lost a lot of our locally owned diners, but Strawn's is still thriving! Excellent food, great pie and friendly service. Celeste, the owner, is a wonderful woman and has done a great job in carrying on the family tradition.
The hamburger steak definitely does not taste homemade...it taste like a smothered frozen burger patty and is served with a hamburger bun. Im not a fan of the dinner but the pie is awesome.
Great food, best pies and breakfast in town! Have been eating at Strawn's for over 20 years, never disappoint! Waitress best in town, too. Highly Recommend!!
Always great food and friendly service!!!
Went with a friend because they are regulars. Service was great but the food wasn't as good as promised. We were one of the last their for breakfast and we got what was left.
I ordered a double meat bacon cheese hamburger w/ fries. I love it. Strawn's has a nice atmosphere.
Hash browns and strawberry pie. This is the first time I've been to this location. Been living elsewhere for years. I used to visit the original location. Still a great place to eat.
While not as good as the original Strawns it has gotten better. Food is slowly improving but the service is actually a lot better. This is just my personal experience so I am sure it varies by person.
This place was not pack at all. Sat for 15 minutes and no one greeted me or asked if I wanted something to drink. Would not recommend this place at all.
A hometown staple. Great southern style food and amazing pies.
Quality homestyle cooking. Try the strawberry pie.
Old fashion cooking,.. can't beat it.
Strawn's is a tradition in Shreveport-Bossier.Excellent breakfast, lunches, and dinners. Not-to-be-missed desserts, which have been listed in Southern Living Magazine.Plate lunches revolve daily. Service with a smile! If you love a great local diner, you'll love any of the Strawn's locations.
I love Strawns Eat Shop Too! But the hours are incorrect they are closed earlier than 8 pm on Sunday oh I can just cry.
We have been living here for 6 months and just tried this place yesterday. I wish we would've went sooner. It was fabulous. There was constantly new customers arriving. Didnt have any problems with the service. The restaurant looked very clean. Food was superb. Our eggs were cooked perfectly. The steak was very tender and well seasoned by husband got with his breakfast. We did not care for the chunky hashbrowns, but we know for next time! I am so eager to try them for lunch and dinner.
Very fast service! Went on a Thursday Morning. Food was hot & good. My son had 2 chocolate chip pancakes, I had the 2 egg breakfast. I will definitely go back for breakfast and think I’d like to try their lunch!
Always very good. Vegetables seasoned so well. Delicious pies, & friendly service.
A great place to support local! Grab breakfast, lunch or dinner. My wife loves their pies and my daughter has to have a Minnie Mouse pancake. It's an awesome Shreveport diner that gets out in the community.
Best pie I've ever had!! ❤❤
Love this place...the food is awesome along with the service...
This visit was my first visit there in a very long time. Had the lunch special of pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, corn and a piece of cornbread. I believe that was the best I have ever had there! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great food and great service at a great price. Highly recommend
I was disappointed we couldn't get fried chicken for lunch, but everything else was perfect! Great potatoes!
The food is not the same quality as it was when it opened, even taking into account service that was curbside or pick up. Now that the owners have decided to join the anti mask brigrade and block the wearing of face masks mandate.I will not eat at nor order from Strawns. Our city has rising cases of the virus and decisions should be based on medical experts like epidemiologists. This decision shows me that the health of the citizens of this community is secondary to the owner's political beliefs. I will spend my money at a business that puts the community first.
Not as good as usual...new patties? Soggy fries? Not my normal Strawns.
Of all the Strawns Eat Shop restaurants, this one is by far the best. Clean, brightly decorated and friendly. The food was great and their icebox pies are out of this world.
Everyone loves this place. The food is good. Wait staff friendly. My husband had hamburger and fries and I had french toast. Both were good! This is my husband's favorite place to eat!
Food was good, fast friendly staff and service
Wow!Go here and enjoy a real home cooked breakfast.Such great food and such good people.
Go for lunch, just order the special and be satisfied with true home style delicious food.
Best place to eat a home-cooked meal.
Good service. Home cooking
I love this place! They're great!
Do not eat here! They don’t allow their employees to wear a face mask during a time of a public health crisis where many restaurant employees have tested positive for COVID-19. Not only that, they participated in a lawsuit to stop others from doing it. I understand that our small businesses are hurting right now. But, use your Congressman to find ways to help you, not fight against the people who support you. #NoMoreStrawnsPies
This place doesn't deserve even one star and is a throwback to old rip off diners that mostly died out due to fast food places. If you expect a adult size burger you will instead get happy meal sized burger. They may have some people brainwashed into liking their food and being a so called popular diner in the local Shreveport-Bossier area but not me. It's not worth stopping because of the jacked up food prices. There strawberry pie is straight up strawberries and whipcream with no flavor. Better eating at a homeless shelter.
